I'm running for events officer for Analogue Magazine with the intention of being a point of call for anyone wanting to propose (and set up) an event representing Analogue. Earlier this year, Analogue gave me the opportunity of holding a craft workshop which embedded our core values of expressing creativity whilst making me feel a core part of the Analogue community. I hope that as events officer, I'd be able to arrange more workshops or exhibitions to enable young creatives to share their work in and outside the UCL network. As part of a youth campaign, I'm currently helping to plan and run a climate education event for young people - a rewarding experience that has helped me develop communication with companies to promote events as well as making social media content towards this, all of which would help boost our outreach in the incoming year (so we can host bigger and more elaborate launch parties!). As events officer, I would love to push towards making more events outside campus so that we can increase awareness of our work with the public, and hopefully inviting other London based creatives to engage with our work. I'd also work towards making more collaborations with other creative magazines in London universities, making Analogue a safe space for meeting creatives like ourselves. Thank you for considering me as your future events officer :)

If I were Events Manager, my main focus would be accessibility, consistency, and community.

I want to make sure events don’t feel intimidating or exclusive. Not everyone joining the society will have experience in layout design or illustration, and that’s okay. I want our events to be beginner-friendly and low-pressure, where people can come alone and still feel comfortable participating.

Community is the biggest goal. I want Analogue Society to feel like a creative hub — somewhere people go not just to “make a zine,” but to meet like-minded people and share ideas.

In terms of event ideas, here are some I’d love to run:

  1. A collaboration with the Film Society where we watch a film together and then create a zine inspired by it.
  2. Zine Swap evening. Everyone starts a page, then every 10–15 minutes we rotate and someone else continues it.
  3. DIY Tote Bag Customising
  4. Picnic. An outdoor social with sketching, reading, and casual making.
  5. Blind zine making. Fold paper into sections; each person adds something without seeing the rest. Unfold at the end.

I’m enthusiastic, and genuinely excited about creating spaces where people can experiment without fear of judgement.

If elected, my goal would be simple: more consistent events, more collaboration, and more opportunities for members to leave a session holding something they made that day

Since joining Analogue at UCL, I’ve realised it’s more than a magazine, it’s a place where creativity, expression, and ideas that matter can be seen, celebrated, and shared. I’m applying for Events Officer because I want to turn ideas into real experiences that people remember, immersive, inclusive, and alive.
This year, I planned and delivered Queer Issue: an interactive, sustainable LGBTQ Art History Month event with the LGBTQ+ Network, curating contributors, designing walk-in formats, and juggling the chaos of logistics, combining fashion, art, literature and interpersonality. It was messy, exhilarating, and taught me how to make bold ideas actually happen while keeping them accessible and meaningful.
As Events Officer, I’d create a year-round Analogue calendar for cultural moments and creative opportunities . I want to run short films, podcasts, literary salons, and themed launch nights that mix written, audio-visual, and performative forms. I’d involve members fully, harness their unique talents, and collaborate with other societies, including the international community, so Analogue isn’t just a creative space, but a platform where culture, expression, and important conversations reach across UCL and beyond.
As a Founder-Editor of a literary magazine at school and a published author and poet, I’ve learned how to build platforms, meet deadlines, and shape cohesive creative visions. Analogue already has the talent, I want to help it grow, and be unforgettable.
