What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I've spent the past 2 years organising and partaking in sports—I've been the 7-a-side secretary for the UCL Red Star FC for both my first and second year and the Sports Secretary for the Law Society this year. I am very familiar with the booking process at both Somers Town and Corams, which would make organising larger games and admin tasks very easy for me. I am also a Sports and Fitness Assistant at the TeamUCL gym which means I bring a lot of insight to this role. Aside from this I am very approachable and social and work well in teams which is important for collaboration in this role.

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I hope to boost engagement in sporting events especially in the capacity of the Alumni and Events role. To do this, I would implement regular communications with interested alumni.  I would aim to discuss ways to do this in the Activities Zones and work closely with the Sports Officer to understand where I would be able to make the most impact. I have already organised inter-society, faculty and alumni games this year as well as 3 law intervarsities. My goals are backed with experience in this regard and my deep understanding of sports and boosting engagement at UCL are vital to achieving them

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

As someone who has actively engaged in sports and related activities by working at the TeamUCL gym and representing Red Star FC in games as well as partaking in fundraising for the society as part of Movember, I clearly exhibit a lot of tenacity for the various aspects of this role. If I'm elected, I will be committed to improving the quality and attendance of events and assist the other reps and the Sports Officer wherever possible. I also play a variety of other sports and am a big advocate of the positive impact of engaging in physical activity on one's mental wellbeing.
