Election post

Every sporting event, from casual grass volleyball to BUCS finals, is filled with energy. I want to share my knowledge of volleyball and my passion for all sports with our entire community. I aim to lead TeamUCL in creating new campaigns that make sports more inclusive and accessible to everyone. Just as sitting volleyball introduced a new aspect of the sport and grass volleyball provided a more casual, safe space for players, I want to bring variations of the sports we love to different places, ensuring everyone feels included in UCL sports.
Throughout my three years at UCL, I’ve developed a strong passion for sports and community. Having led the Volleyball Society as both Higher Education Volleyball Officer in my second year and as Vice President in my third year, I’ve been inspired to increase my involvement in volleyball events. Leading sitting volleyball during Disability History Month and reffing TeamUCL’s social league has extended my outreach beyond the volleyball society. My passion for outreach and involvement is what I'll bring to this role.
I’m excited to run as your sports rep. Over three years at UCL, I’ve met amazing people and experienced phenomenal events organised by UCL students. I’ve also had the chance to lead and organise my own events. Many words describe these events—competitive, intense, fun—but one always stands out: Grit. Along with my organisational skills, I bring a deep sense of pride about being a UCL student—more specifically, a UCL athlete. I’m proud to represent UCL and will bring my grit and abilities to every event I’m involved in.
