What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Hey! My name is Danilo and I am running to be your Welfare Officer! Next Year, I will do regular Welfare Checks and run Welfare Socials (such as Kahoot nights, Colouring Socials, Tea and Cake Drop-In sessions, movie nights and more) and most importantly I will always continue to be here for all of our members and signpost and help whenever I can. I will to ensure that the network is a very welcoming and fun place where members can make friends and enjoy their time at university. I also want to collab more with other societies, networks, universities and organisations.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have been the Welfare Officer of many societies and have received a lot of training which I strongly believe will be useful. I have been on the committee of the MPTC Network for years and have had various committee positions in many networks and societies and thus I know the systems very well. With this experience, I will be able to ensure a smooth transition between the outgoing and incoming committee and will be able to help with running events, advertising, risk assessments, finances and many other essential things. I am also a very dedicated, kind and hardworking person.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I will ensure that all students in the network are supported and that the network is a thriving, welcoming and happy place for all members. I will ensure that alumni are also welcomed and collab with many groups so that students have more chances to make friends and enjoy their time at university. I have a lot of experience which will be very useful with the running of the network. I will ensure that there are always fun events and welfare checks and always signpost and help in whatever way I can.
