Candidates

Kyohyun Hwang (Mr)
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If I were voted in as Treasurer, I would ensure that the Mature, Part-Time & Carers Network has access to the resources and funding available to assist students with balancing education around other responsibilities. I will ensure clear budgeting, securing money, and spending money where it will be of best use, whether for welfare events, networking, or academic assistance. My aim is to ensure that the financial decisions are in accordance with mature students' interests and, therefore, make the network more effective and usable.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

Having been a Welfare Officer in a special school, I have had the experience of knowing how to allocate finances budget-wise in welfare-based environments and why resources should directly impact people in need. My work in a retail environment has given me hands-on experience with managing cash, budgets, and managing costs, and I will utilize this in the role. I am organized, detail-oriented, and responsible for maintaining the money of the network efficiently and openly to maximize student aid.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I am detail-oriented and responsible for maintaining the money of the network efficiently and openly to maximize student aid. Mature, Carers and Part-Time students present unique issues, and I would want the financial resources of the network to fulfill our intent, Being a welfare worker and a retail financier, I acknowledge the importance of budgeting as well as the role of student support programs. I will encourage open financial planning, funds available, and judicious expenditure choices that directly work in students' interests.
