I am standing for re-election because I believe in the vision we have set for our society and recognise that we are only at the beginning stages of realising our full potential as we are a newly affiliated society. Over the last few weeks, we have been able to organise events that engage not only our course mates but the wider school body, in discourses that we see in our society, thinking about our roles as youth and what we can do.
I am eager to further develop my skills and learn from my committee as president as we have only been able to plan and carry out spaces for 5 school weeks- we have big plans for the progress of our society and are hoping to plan larger scale events in the future.
Over the last few weeks we have seen the society become a space to foster new friendships and strengthen already existing ones, in a space where everyone feels welcome and heard and our conversations are that of a meaningful nature. I appreciate my role as president has taught me very valuable skills and I'm looking forward to the new lessons the next academic year brings.
I am honored to have led this society so far, but I know that our journey has only just begun. I am committed to ensuring that Baha’i Society continues to grow, thrive, and make a meaningful impact on our school community. I hope to continue serving as President and working alongside everyone to bring our shared vision to life.
