World History Society: President

I am standing for president of UCL’s World History Society to continue the programme that we started this September. Our aim was to educate on, engage with and celebrate the love of history, both as an academic discipline and as a personal passion.

In our British History Programme, we combined sight tours with speaker events by distinguished lecturers, while our ad hoc speaker events provided our members with a high-quality understanding of the history behind the issues that preoccupy our newspaper headlines today. The museum tours and society socials proved to be the perfect complements for these academic events, kick-starting a more vibrant social life between history enthusiasts and UCL’s world-class academics.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this work, and I would like to continue it in the next cycle.
