I've always been fascinated by the power of collective effort. I remember reading about ants and their ability to achieve incredible feats through teamwork. Despite this resulting in 7 year old me having recurring nightmares about an ‘ant army’, this fascination ignited my passion for fostering collaboration and unity within communities.

From a young age, I've actively engaged in my local community, volunteering at a special needs primary school, my local library, council, and various charity organizations. This passion for community involvement naturally led me to join the volunteering society, and it's why I'm now running for the position of Events Director.

In this role, I envision a dynamic calendar filled with diverse and inclusive activities, carefully tailored to cater to everyone's interests and passions. Whether it's environmental initiatives or community service, my aim is to offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities that resonate with each individual's unique values and aspirations.

From having previously led a small team, to raise awareness for a local charity supporting domestic abuse survivors, I've developed strong leadership skills and the ability for thriving under pressure. With these in hand, I am confident in my ability to organise engaging events that not only bring our community together but also advance our society's mission

I hope that, despite the teeny word limit, i've conveyed my strong commitment and capability to elevate volunteering society.
