Ukrainian Society: Welfare Officer

My name is Anna, I am a first-year student from BSc Data Science, and I am excited and to run for the position of Welfare Officer in the Ukrainian Society.

It's never been more important for us, Ukrainians, to stay tight-knit, no matter where we're at, than it is now? I strongly believe that ucl.ua should be a home away from home for Ukrainians, and a piece of Ukraine for our foreign friends. My main objective as Welfare Officer would be to make sure that everyone feels embraced and part of our gang :) It is crucial to create an atmosphere where everyone feels as a part of great community, where each of us can totally be ourselves.

I am fit for the position of Welfare Officer as I have appropriate experience. Having changed three schools in Ukraine, I was active in the student government in every of them, so I have necessary leadership skills and understand the importance for everyone to feel warmly welcomed and to be a part of big community.

Together with other committee members, I will make sure that in ucl.ua, no matter online or offline, we will have a healthy and friendly atmosphere, where everyone would feel the warmth of Ukrainian spirit and will enjoy the time spent with Ukrainian society at UCL.

In these crucial times for Ukraine, we should all stay united, and I will do everything what I can to build a warm and strong community of Ukrainians and friends of Ukraine, when everyone will have each other’s back, no matter what occurs.
