Toni Disu

Hey everyone,
I'm Toni, a second-year student in medical innovation, and I'm excited to run for Vice President. My passion for Medical Technology runs deep, and I've had the privilege of diving into this world as the Technology in Healthcare executive this year.
What makes me a great fit for this role? Well, aside from my studies, I have experience running a society as I was Vice-President of another UCL society where I was able to develop my communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
But there's something more important to me than just qualifications: representation and diversity especially in the field of Medical Technology. As a black woman, I've noticed the lack of people who look like me in this field, especially in leadership positions.
I don't want to be a rare sight; I want to be part of a new norm where everyone, no matter their background, feels welcome and empowered in this field.
As vice president, I want to ensure that all voices are heard and all perspectives are valued.
