Experience

  • Indian Society Vice President 21/22
  • MedSoc O&G Charity Officer 21/22
  • MedSoc O&G Social Media Officer 22/23
  • MedSoc O&G Chair 23/24

Having worked in both leadership and committee roles for MedSoc, I’ve gained a wealth of experience to lead the society as Treasurer.

As O&G Chair this year, I led the organisation for the London Universities O&G Conference, which required significant financial management. I had to make informed decisions about our spending priorities and budgeting. The result was a conference that catered for and provided merchandise to 130 people. We also raised £1830 for charity due to an efficient pricing strategy.

I believe securing sponsorships is integral for ensuring the financial sustainability of a society. As VP of Indian Society, I led Sponsorship initiatives and fostered professional relationships that were crucial to securing our funding. Collaborating closely with the current Treasurer, I've gained firsthand insight into the Treasurer's responsibilities.

If elected as Treasurer, I would:

  • Secure sponsorships early to build a strong funds base
  • Support Specialty Chairs with expenses and Conference planning
  • Implement a benefits scheme with access to select educational resources as a way to incentivize and reward paid membership

I hope my track record of commitment to MedSoc assures you that voting for me as Treasurer will put our Society's finances in safe hands - consider it a sound investment. Thanks!
