Reduanul Alam

Cardiology is the heart of medicine. Let us embrace the beating heart of our profession with passion, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of excellence with heartfelt compassion.

As your chair I will aim to do the following:

  • Open opportunities to get involved in research.
  • Run interactive online lecture series and in person workshops focusing on cardiac innovation and the future of heart medicine.
  • Deliver focussed clinical and preclinical tutorials to ACE your medical exams (hehehe) - no longer a need to be scared of ECG’s!

I hope you don’t leave me heartbroken💔.

Sanjay Rajput

Goals as cardiology chair:

  1. Host the inaugural Cardiology Conference, encompassing a wide variety of workshops such as congenital cadaveric heart labs, VR anatomy classes and hands-on echocardiography teaching.
  2. Lead multiple teaching series aimed at pre-clinical, clinical and iBSc students, with a focus on high-yield content and exam preparation.
  3. Facilitate networking between students, academics and clinicians to make research opportunities more accessible.
  4. Arrange inter-university socials to mix with like-minded students across London.
  5. Organise community outreach programmes to educate the public on cardiovascular disease and prevention.

Experience

Undertaken a plethora of roles, including Education Lead of Cardiology Society and Indian Society, iBSc Cardiovascular Science mentor and BIMA Events Officer. This gives the prior experience to ensure a high standard of events and education across the board. Furthermore, having showcased research at international conferences and developed a broad network of researchers and clinicians, we possess a deep understanding and passion for academia. Combining this with first-class honours in the Cardiovascular science iBSc and merit awards in 2nd Year, it can be assured that we have the drive and determination to deliver on the promises set out in our manifesto.

To summarise, our academic accomplishments, extensive teaching background, and love of cardiology make us the perfect candidate for Cardiology Chair.
