Anaesthetics is an exciting career with lots of opportunities for subspecialization. I want to showcase these broad areas to students through a social media teaching series, engaging talks by experts, and an inaugural undergraduate conference. During my time as a Social Media Officer this year, I have been involved in creating the teaching series, designing posts to promote the conference, enlisting anesthetists to attend, and helping with the running of the day.  After the success of the conference this year, I would like to organise another two-day conference with one day dedicated to workshops so students can get more hands-on experience and mentorship. I look forward to collaborating with subcommittees from other universities to create a more diverse networking opportunity. As Chair, I will work hard to arrange regular opportunities for students and will start a series of social media posts sharing current news in Anaesthesia. I believe It is important to have a range of events available to be more accessible, therefore, I aim to have a combination of online talks with interactive elements and practical workshops. I have experience co-leading UCL Next Top Doctor, where I have developed organisational skills and helped promote the society with success in recruiting volunteers and working on the events and social media teams of RUMS Welfare. I look forward to creating a subcommittee for people passionate about a career in anaesthetics to collaborate and explore it further.

As a dedicated and passionate advocate for the field of anaesthesia medicine, I am honoured to apply for the role of Anaesthetic Chair within our esteemed medical society. My experiences and commitment to advancing the understanding of anaesthesia make me uniquely suited for this position. Throughout my journey in medicine, I have been fortunate to immerse myself in the intricacies of anaesthesia through opportunities such as regular shadowing sessions. Under this mentorship, I gained invaluable insights into the fundamentals of anaesthesia, from preoperative assessments to intraoperative management and postoperative care. These experiences have fuelled my passion for the field and instilled in me a deep appreciation for the critical role anaesthesia plays in patient care. One of my main goals as Anaesthetic Chair is to expand awareness and appreciation for anaesthesia among our medical community and beyond. I am eager to organize engaging and educational events that provide our members with opportunities to learn more about anaesthesia in a fun and interactive setting, such as workshops, seminars, and conferences. Furthermore, my previous leadership experiences have equipped me with the skills and confidence necessary to effectively lead a team. I am eager to contribute to the growth and success of our medical society and to inspire others to share in my enthusiasm for this intriguing field.
