Irish and Northern Irish Society: Welfare Officer

Hey everyone! I am Danilo and I am running to be your Welfare Officer again! I have been Welfare Officer of the society since 2021 and I am so looking forward to another year! I have many plans for next year, including:

1.) Continuing the regular Welfare Checks in the groupchat in order to see how members are doing and to check in on those not doing too well so I can provide support + providing useful links and resources to help members, including promoting the Participation fund in order to help members afford the activities

2.) Apply for the UCL Welfare Fund for the society in order to purchase pronoun badges and disability lanyards in order to help our members

3.) Run Welfare Socials (such as "Biscuit and Chat" drop ins) and other fun events, such as Kahoot nights, movie nights, donut socials, game nights, pub socials and more!

4.) Organise collabs with other societies, universities and networks so that our members can make more friends (including a collab with Baking Society to make Irish Apple cake!)

5.) Organise a Pen-pal scheme so that members can connect with people Ireland, Northern Ireland and the Irish communities around the world

6.) Help begin Beginners' Irish lessons and conversation classes for those more advance
