My commitment to UCLSC over the past two academic years –as a competitive member and as Women’s Competitive Captain – leads me to believe that I will be suitable as President. I would like to think that I’ve become a familiar face, providing myself with the ability to cooperate with both committee and members to maximise UCLSC’s potential!

These two experiences below lead me to believe that I can competently carry out the role of President.

1. Firstly, my involvement in swimming. Having been involved in the sport for a decade and representing Wales, I possess the relevant knowledge to be able to deliver what you, as members, are after.

2. Secondly, my experience as a committee member, not limited to UCLSC. As Women’s Competitive Captain, I have enjoyed a high-level of commitment to the society, ranging from contact with the competitive squad, organising competitions, to fulfilling committee expectations. This post that I currently hold has placed me in an advantageous position. I have gained an appreciation for what is expected of the role, having witnessed the great job accomplished by our current President, and it would be a privilege to build on the work that we are proud to have achieved this academic year. Alongside this commitment, I also held the position of Sports Secretary for UCL Law Society, strengthening the experience that I’ve had in being a part of a committee.
