Society of Engineering and Architectural Design (SEAD): Welfare Officer

Hello everyone! Madeleine here and I am running to be the welfare officer for the SEAD society. 

With the engagement our society has currently, I plan to grow SEAD even more by achieving the grouping system (how cute!) consisting of year 1s and older years I wished I had back in Year 1. The grouping system would allow all members (whether you are an MEng student or not) to have a small support system. This will allow all members to get to know people from other year groups or maybe even other courses well as small meet-ups will be organised throughout the year. Having this would be an endeavour of mine to ensure that the mental health support of everyone in the society is prioritised and that everyone feels comfortable in this society. 

I believe I am capable of achieving this plan because having been part of the committee last year, I know how this society runs and the capability for this society to grow in this form. I hope to be able to achieve this plan right when the term starts next year to allow the “SEAD” to blossom. Moreover, I have taken many roles that require strong organisational and planning skills like this so I trust that I am fit for this role.
