Jazneek Kaur

Hey, I’m Jazneek a first-year econ student running for sales officer! Being brought up in the most desi Punjabi family and having done Punjabi A-Level, I’d thrive in the culture shared by the committee.

One of my main strengths is communication – the way I articulate myself is clear and put-together. Having worked in retail for 3 years, I know how to liaise and negotiate in a polite yet straightforward manner. Compared to *difficult* customers I’ve encountered, contacting sponsors should be lightwork.

Also, as an econ student, I understand the value of profit maximisation,  thus methods of maximising revenue will be the driving force of any actions I take. By doing so, I hope to increase budgets and the number of events that occur to further expand the society and its presence within UCL.

Alongside this, having secured an internship with Bank of America, I feel my ability to sell myself further proves that I am a worthy candidate, capable of promoting Punjabi soc to elite sponsors next year.

Having also been enrolled into basically every sport, I have learnt the value of working with and organising a team, hence am equipped to work alongside the marketing team to together create a prosperous society.

All seriousness aside, I’d love to be part of the society and help it grow further next year. Being Punjabi is practically my no.1 personality trait and you’ll probs catch me belting out No Love at any event, because let’s be real, it’s played at every. single. event.
