Danilo Paganelli

Hey! My name is Danilo and I am standing to be your next Welfare Officer! Having been on the committee this year, the experience will be very helpful in ensuring the transition between these academic years. If elected, I will ensure:

1.) Weekly welfare checks and making valuable resources available for those who need support

2.) Monthly welfare events (such as speed friendings/dating, games nights, pub socials etc) so that our members can make new friends and get to know eachother, including over the holidays too!

3.) Including taster lessons for Greenlandic, North Sami and other endangered Nordic languages in addition to supporting wider funding for more regular language classes

4.) Hosting some online socials in order to appeal to all members, especially that have to commute or are alumni 

5.) Collaborating with other Nordic societies in the UK (and around the world!) online and in person so that you can even more friends!

6.) Ensure that all students in the society feel heard and happy

My most important responsibility will be being there for our members. I promise to always be there for every member and help as much as I possibly can, whether it's just a talk or signposting or emailing teachers for support/extension support or anything that I can do to help – I will be there for you all. Life is hard and that is why support is so important, and I will help ensure that I can help your experience at UCL.
