Heyy I'm Anika and I'm in Y3. I've decided to run for Anaesthesia chair because I am very passionate about this amazing speciality and would like to inspire others to consider Anaesthesia as a future career.

Having learnt about the fundamentals of Anaesthesia this year, I have had the opportunity to network with multiple trainees and consultants and aim to reach out to them to run fun and exciting workshops throughout the year. These will provide an insight into what the career entails and will be a great way for students to seek guidance. Through my role as events coordinator for the Anaesthesia and Cardiothoracic sub committee, I have been able to work with multiple universities and I promise to collaborate with Anaesthesia societies all over London. I will do this by holding exciting networking events for you as students, to meet other medics and make new friends. I plan to have a larger team of medics from various years to promote students at different stages to work together.

By being part of the social media team for the Women in Surgery society, I am aware of how to create eye-catching posts and boost social media profiles and plan to make the accounts more interactive. I will achieve this by holding live specialist panel sessions and doing more online events, which will be more accessible for everyone wanting to learn about this fascinating field.

Thank you for reading my application and VOTE FOR ME as your Anaesthesia chair.
