Beatrice Soresina

Hi! I'm Beatrice and I am running for next year's GES VP. During the year I've experienced the dedication and passion that our society members have for promoting goals in promoting sustainability and the green economy.

Aligning my values to this:

  • I'm part of a start-up focusing on improving logistics for the transport of materials used by sustainable businesses, I've gained deeper insight in the problems that sustainable brands are facing: majorly high production costs
  • I have co-organised a panelist event as a First Year Rep of Women in Finance together with 2 other societies about ESG investing and financial feminism
  • I have developed my communication skills as a "Teenovator" speaker at the Seeds and Chips Global Food Innovation Summit

Valuable GES events have sparked my interest in the circular economy, leading to my vision's milestones:

  • Establish partnerships and events with other universities, both in London and worldwide, promoting networking opportunities.
  • Host career panels focused on ESG investing, consulting, and related industries for students interested in those careers
  •  Use the Green Business Forum as a launch panel for sustainable start-ups from UCL's Start-Up Hatchery to promote student entrepreneurship within a green field.

I'd be honoured to be able to work with like-minded people towards the common goal of facilitating the change towards a greener economy and I'd be always supportive and open for new ideas, making sure everyone is heard.
