I have been inspired to run for social secretary of UCL Women's Football  as I have found that this year I have enjoyed attending these socials just as much as being on pitch - and have made some great memories from them.

This year, I would like to build off of previous socials that we have had in the past in order to ensure that people from all teams can bond and feel included in the club; I have made friends from attending these events so I feel that I truly understand their importance. I have been playing football since the age of 7 and share all of our passion for the game, yet I love it just as much for it's social and teambuilding aspects.

During my first year at University, despite feeling busy throughout the season, attending most events had been beneficial for me to keep a work-life balance, and I would therefore like to promote attending these socials further. I would aim to make them versatile and inclusive for people who want to go out and drink, as well as for people who don't feel as comfortable doing so.

Despite only being in my first year at university, and therefore not having the chance to have applied for a committee position yet, my previous jobs as a football coach and as a waitress involved working with other people on a regular basis, and having to remain organised,  and therefore have given me to skills to feel comfortable to apply for this role.
