Why do people join dodgeball?
Because it's fun. I could not be more original than this, I'm sorry.
So, if all of us are here for a good time, why not make our socials big and exciting? Bi-weekly Wednesday trips to Phineas and Scala, day outs on Sundays, dinners, and more! I believe there is so much we can do, and given that (hopefully) I wouldn't have much academic pressure, I will spend a lot of my free time planning fun socials.
You are probably thinking, 'who is this girl, I haven't seen her around much'. It is because I'm double booked on Fridays, and once I become social sec, I promise I'll turn up. Although, you might remember my iconic lobster costume for the Halloween social back in October. Go have a look on the dodgeball instagram profile, you might be able to spot me on some posts (and give us a follow).
Despite the countless head shots I've got this year, I keep on coming back to dodgeball sessions. It's because of the community, and I would love to give something back. I understand that it could be a little awkward to turn up to sports night when you are just a social member, or you might consider yourself 'too cool' for dodgeball. You are deeply mistaken. No one is ever too cool for dodgeball and I will provide irresistible social events to make sure everyone's needs are accommodated.
At school, I organised a school-wide festival to celebrate different cultures. If that doesn't tell you that I'm organised and fun-loving, then I don't know what would.

Who said you can't be good at dodgeball and serve at the same time?!
Social events can be daunting, but have no fear! Both dodgeball and its social events is a safe haven for everyone. My name is Kemal, which you all (hopefully) know by now. I am currently in my second year, studying BSc Geography. Moving onto my third year at UCL, I to aim to make my final year as both academically and socially active as possible. Being a social secretary in the Dodgeball Club revolves around vision, creativity, and a big social battery.
