Melanie Larre

I am currently studying Global Humanitarian studies and im greatly interested in Disaster and risk reduction specifically im the area of digital science and its applications in humanitarian catastrophes. I would love to be a part of the Disaster Risk Reduction Society as a welfare officer  so that I could help and advise anyone who is experiencing personal, family, or work-related issues.

Denisa A Tami

I hope to contribute to the society by ensuring every member feels included and their needs are met! I want to work together with the committee to ensure this happens in every meeting, event, and social planned by the DRRH. I also have experience in roles involving planning, leading and executing projects in and out of school, which allows me to fulfil the duties required of this position.

Jasmine Andean

Through my previous experience as a co-founder and the treasurer of this society, I have had the chance to see how the society has developed right from the start. This places me in an ideal position to continue working with this society in the role of welfare officer. I have chosen to run for welfare officer specifically as I feel that this is the position that best matches my skills, and I would like to make a positive difference to the well-being of the members of the society.

Ameeqa Qureshi

Hello! My name is Ameeqa and I'm up for the position of Welfare Officer for the DRRH Soc. I've witnessed the society grow rapidly over the past year, with members working tirelessly to organize super fun events for us, and would be honored to be a part of the planning processes for the upcoming year. As Welfare Officer, I would look forward to ensuring the holistic wellbeing of all society members, making sure their voices are conveyed to the team so that everyone has an amazing time at society events.

Furthermore, due to my previous experiences as an IRDR Senior Mentor and a Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MAPS) Ambassador at UCL, I feel that I am well-versed with the inner workings of the department and have had the pleasure of interacting with the majority of the incredible student and faculty body. I would be so grateful to receive an opportunity to serve the Department through the society so I can expand on these experiences.

Ultimately, my goal is to hear from all of you so that we can shape society events and experiences to be driven by YOUR ideas. So, if want your year to be filled with games and movie nights, networking events, collaborations with other societies and universities, and hopefully an end of the year summer ball, vote for me today!
