Diplomacy Society: Marketing Officer

Hi, I’m Ingrid Chan, a first year studying International Social and Political Studies.

As head editor of my high school journal, a former art student, and someone who has worked in the marketing department before, I am experienced in designing posters, Instagram posts, and posting and regulating social media sites of all mediums. I have also run websites before and can keep all social media constantly updated for easy access.

WHAT I HAVE:

• Experience with graphic design on Canva, Indesign, and Photoshop (as well as other mediums such as PPT) and artistic ability
• An efficient, organised, and flexible approach – I can meet tight deadlines and devote regular time to updating social media platforms
• Creativity and out of the box thinking skills – ideas such as interactive polls, making information more accessible ahead of time to ensure everyone has a fair chance of signing up for events
• Memorable caption-writing skills to make sure people are all caught up on the coming and goings of the Diplomacy Society
• Teamwork skills – I love working with others and learning from them, and I don’t mind networking with other societies to promote our events. I have contacted media companies before so I’m not shy on reaching out and expanding the scope of the Diplomacy society.

As the current marketing officer for UCL Diplomacy Society, I would love to have the opportunity to continue my position into the new academic year!

My positions as a former committee member for the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy Junior Board and the UCL Diplomacy Society has developed my abilities to engage with audiences through social media platforms, as well as graphic design.
