Ethan Kho

Hey guys!

I'm Ethan and I'm running for Head of Sponsorships because I want to put together some amazing Data Science speaker events for all of you.

More specifically, I want to focus on workshops and speaker events by top performers in the fields of Quantitative Finance and Tech Startups.

I love meeting new people which will make it super fun for me to reach out to guest speakers (and talk to you guys too!).

Vote for me and together we'll learn from the brightest minds in Data Science! ???

Mohammed Fahad Tabrez Sheikh

As an undergraduate computer science student and current webmaster for the Data Science society, I lack direct experience in sponsorship and fundraising. However, I am deeply passionate about data science and impressed by the society's commitment to advancing data science education and research.

I possess strong leadership and communication skills, which would be invaluable in the Head of Sponsorship role, where I would be responsible for leading a team and communicating with sponsors. Additionally, my personal projects in data science enable me to come up with new and innovative ideas for events. I have also won a bronze medal in the national round of Artificial Intelligence Olympiad and was selected to represent my country in the international round.

Finally, my creative thinking skills would be useful in the Head of Sponsorship role, where I would be responsible for creating sponsorship packages and organizing engaging events that meet the society's goals.

Despite my lack of direct experience, my passion, skills, and creative thinking make me an ideal candidate for the Head of Sponsorship role. I am confident that I can make a valuable contribution to the society's mission, and I am excited to help promote the growth of data science.

Edgar Tsang

Taking up this position will allow me to aid the Data Science Society in a way most beneficial to our members. I will strive to develop strong connections with those in the industry alongside management in notable corporations in order to bring the best events and contacts possible to nurture our member's career growth and aspirations. Furthermore, I will be persistent in pushing forth the society, ensuring that we get in front of our desired companies and maximise our outreach in the community.

In terms of my past, I was a FYR for sponsorship which has allowed me to gain a strong understanding of what the role entails. Furthermore, in this role, I have contributed heavily to multiple events in limited time as a FYR such as the Quant talks. With this experience, I hope to continue the legacy of this role and bring forth future developments.

Ultimately, I hope to take on the role of Head of Sponsorship and lead the sponsorship team towards another successful year.
