Chinese Society: Treasurer

I am currently a freshman and a member of the society. I am standing because I would like the opportunity to be more involved with the society next year, and to further my understanding of the culture and trends of the current Hong Kong. Although I was born in and grew up in Hong Kong, coming from an international school has certainly created gaps between myself and those from local schools. Being a member of the committee, no matter the position, can allow me to contribute to the society whilst attempting to bridge some of these gaps. There have not been too many events this year, and the bulk of these events came at the very beginning of the year, so it has been a while. As an introvert that loves and is great with money, the treasurer role seems to be a suitable fit. I simply want to get more involved in the society that feels closest to me at UCL, and I am open to other roles as well on the committee of the Chinese society. Thanks for your consideration.
