Hia Sadho

I have experience working with student magazines and online news publications, including social media promotion. I have been eagerly tuning into the Cheese Grater publications since the beginning of my term as a freshman and I think that all students can find something for them in it. When it comes to things I am passionate about, I am very hardworking, and I am very excited to bring a fresh perspective to the table. I have a keen eye for detail and the ability to look at problems in order to find innovative solutions. As the Social Media and Communications Officer, I would work towards promoting the magazine in collaboration with the Student Union social media pages and inviting students for other societies to write satirical pieces. I have many fresh ideas for promoting the magazine and I look forward to being able to contribute to it.

Lily Park

I am very good at organising and planning. This means I can throw a good party. I will ensure that we have more socials than this year with a variety of activities. I will plan cheap socials where everyone can have a good time. Also, I am a lot of fun, so you should vote for me :)

Rusheen Bansal

Hello everyone! I’m Rusheen, a fourth-year Arts and Sciences student.

I have been a part of the Cheese Grater committee since I joined UCL in 2020 (first as a Zine Editor and then as Editor-in-Chief). Having been on my study abroad exchange this past year, I’d love the opportunity to join this wonderful society once again!

My aim as your Social Secretary will be to improve your student experience by fostering community and camaraderie between our society members. I hope to do this by organizing:

  • weekly socials - I know some great pubs near campus!
  • writing workshops - with professors and journalists on breaking into the news industry and specific writing styles (among other topics)
  • collaborative socials with other societies
  • a great 20th birthday party for the magazine!

As EIC, I helped organize many of these events in the last year and thus understand the ins and outs of coordinating and planning a fun event for everyone!

Since I’ve joined the Cheese Grater, I have formed some life-long friendships that I cherish to this day. As your Social Secretary, I hope to give you the same experience!
