Election post
Hi! My name is Ricky, and I am thrilled to be running for the position of Competitions Vice President. My experience as a First Year Executive has given me a strong background in organizing events, such as UCL DECA and Impact Investment Championship. Through these experiences, I have seen how competitions can provide valuable opportunities for students to learn, network, and gain practical experience in the business world. With my previous experiences, I am confident I am the perfect candidate for this role.
My vision is threefold:
Expansion:
I want to organize new events and competitions dedicated to less explored industries, such as Real Estate, Marketing, and Technology, to provide more opportunities for students with diverse interests.
Skills Development:
I believe in providing skill training and workshops to members in areas such as negotiation, leadership, time management, and more. This will help members develop practical skills to apply in their future careers.
Improving the efficiency of UCL DECA:
I will work with the team to create a more robust judge confirmation process, including developing contingency plans and backup judges. I will also explore new methods of communication and scheduling, such as online platforms, to ensure that all speakers and participants are informed and organized.
By voting for me as the Competitions Vice President, I promise to work tirelessly to make the UCL Business Society a valuable and memorable experience for all members.
