Blockchain Labs Society: Deputy Head of Markets

Hi! I’m Rishi and I’m running for the Deputy Head of Markets! I was initially drawn towards the use of technology in financial markets after completing a case study on the use of Blockchain technology in trading. As the Technology Correspondent for the FinTech Review, I was able to explore this interest further by writing an article on algorithmic trading and its impact on financial markets.

As such, this led me to the role as the Vice President of Quantitative Trading for the FinTech Society, through which I was able to ideate and organise events that involved hosting trading workshops, introducing students to fundamental trading principles and allowing them to build their own trading models, as well bringing in entrepreneurs from cryptocurrency start-ups.

As such, through this role, I hope to share my interest in the wider cryptocurrency market with students from all disciplines, not only mathematical backgrounds, be it throughout workshops or market analysis.
