Badminton Club: Treasurer

Hello everyone! My name is Anthony, and I am running to be your next treasurer. With two years of experience in the club, including serving as the mixed captain this year and as a solid member of the men's first team, I am deeply committed to the club's success and hold a strong understanding of its values and priorities.

As a player and leader within the club, I understand the importance of balancing competitive play and social events to ensure that all members feel engaged and supported. If elected, I will work closely with other club members to develop fundraising strategies to support the club's activities. I will also explore the possibility of selling club merchandise, such as t-shirts and water bottles.

I am confident in managing the club's finances effectively and efficiently. I will ensure that the club complies with all financial regulations and will work closely with the club's leadership team to make informed financial decisions that support the club's mission and goals. If elected, I will propose spending club funds on equipment upgrades, such as purchasing new nets for club use only in Somers Town and upgrading our shuttles. 

UCL badminton has been a significant part of my university life, and I want to contribute back to the community and make sure everyone can have fun here. I would be honoured to serve as your treasurer and look forward to working with all of you to make UCL badminton the best it can be.
