Danilo Paganelli

Hey! My name is Danilo and I am standing to be your Vice President again! Having been on the committee since mid 2021 and Vice President this year, I will be crucial in helping the transition between these academic years. If elected, I will ensure:

1.) Weekly welfare checks on the groupchat and making valuable resources available for those who need support

2.) Monthly welfare events (such as speed friendings/dating, games nights, pub socials etc) so that our members can make new friends and get to know eachother, including over the holidays too.

3.) Ensuring that there is an event in the society every 2 weeks - this year has been slow due to some admin difficulties, but next year but will be better!

4.) Hosting some online socials in order to appeal to all members, especially that have to commute or are alumni

5.) Collaborating with other societies in the UK (and around the world!) online and in person

6.) Ensure that all students in the society feel heard and happy

I also promise to be there for all members as much as I can.

Please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions!

Joey Mehta

I've been a member of the Austrian Society for the entire year since joining UCL as a first-year undergrad student. I may not have been as active as other members in participating or communicating but I've still been involved and interested in doing more with the society. I'd like to promote more regular events/meetups or other social opportunities for UCL Austrian Society members and if feasible organise more educational/outreach content to attract people without Austrian heritage/background to join the society.
