Eden-Rae Wedderburn

Hi guys, I’m Eden-Rae and I’m a first year Physics student from Manchester! When I first transitioned to UCL, the ACS provided me with a sense of comfort and community that I couldn't find elsewhere. As someone who is deeply grateful for the support that the society provided, I am passionate about giving back and contributing to its continued success.

Specifically, I am interested in the role of treasurer as it would allow me to proactively contribute to the society while pursuing my interests in finance. I am confident that my mathematical skills from my physics studies and organisational skills from my part-time supervisor experience will enable me to handle the responsibilities of the role with ease.

As treasurer, I would work closely with the President and other committee members to set budgets, allocate funds, and ensure that events run smoothly. I am excited about this opportunity to work with a talented and passionate group of individuals. Working alongside like-minded people would not only be fulfilling, but it would also allow me to expand my social circle and form new friendships which I feel like I have not yet been able to do at UCL.

Overall, I believe that I would be an asset to the committee as treasurer and am eager to contribute to the society's continued growth and success.
