Hi guys!

I'm Kristina, a Y2 Psychology student and your current Treasurer. I've been working closely with the President in helping to run the club by liaising with the SU and getting involved with other parts of the club by supporting other committee members. You may have seen me at social sessions/events or as part of the mixed 2 team. This year I'm running for Vice President!

I gained valuable experience of the workings of the club through my role and I'm confident that I could provide next year's President and committee members with the support they'll need to make the experience as part of the volleyball club even more memorable and enjoyable.

I'm aware of the difficulties we faced this year such as the interest of so many people to play during social sessions and hence, establishing 2 social sessions per week would be at the top of my priority list with hopes for a dedicated beginner's session. As one of the main duties of Vice President, I would also aim for players to get personalised kits and merch as it would be a nice reminder of your time as part of the UCL Volleyball Club! All alongside working with the committee to plan for more new and exciting social events!

If elected, I believe my experience will be invaluable as part of next year's committee where I would be able to help run the club more efficiently thanks to all the knowledge and skills gained this year. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions!

Masaya Hayashikawa

Hey guys I’m Masaya and I’m running for vice president!

Allow me to explain why very simply: I love this society, and I want more people to love it too.

I discovered volleyball in 12th grade in P.E. for only a short period (never touched a volleyball until then), but it was enough for me to get addicted. It started small, saying “hm I like it, I wanna play more” to “damn I need to play more!” (Yes, I also watched Haikyuu. Yes, it did help the addiction.). It’s been 2 short years since then, but my eagerness and motivation is reflected when I joined the mix team. However, I must admit my love for volleyball wasn’t fully achievable if the society was not as loveable as the sport.

Having participated in most activities I can guaranty it's a fun time. If you want to know how involved I am just ask my flat mates, they would be happy to testify how many times I said, “nah sorry can’t go out tonight, got volleyball”.

As such, I would like to take over this position to make others become as obsessed and keep spreading the fun.

You can count on me for the organizational side too. I assure you my ambition for this society enhanced with my experience in teamwork (i.e. research expeditions) will be beneficial for all.

I hope I have expressed enough of my love for this society and you guys felt how ready I am to commit to this job.

Thank you for taking your time to read, and I hope I will see you guys on the court!
