Being a captain to the team not only requires responsibility and discipline, it is also vital that you maintain a high degree of mentality, on and off the court with all of your teammates. Seeing as I enjoy leading, and being committed in what I am passionate of, I believe that being the captain of UCL Volleyball Mixed Team could showcase my fighting spirit, and eagerness to win in the team. After playing this addicting sport for 5 years in multiple leagues and competitions with various teams including the UCL Mixed Teams for session 21/22, I trust that it is time to elevate myself further and gain more experience by being the team captain at the university level in my final year at UCL. There’s just something euphoric about seeing your teammates cheer after a great block, a serve ace or an awesome point-winning strike after a long rally, and knowing that you can be a solid foundation and support for the team.
I cannot promise you guaranteed wins in our matches but best believe that you will never receive less than 100% of my commitment and energy to this sport that we all deeply love. Let’s work, fight, push beyond our limits, and achieve greater heights together as team!
