Volleyball Club: Men's 1st Team Captain

Hello!

My name is Morris and I have been part of the UCL Men's Volleyball first team this year. As an up and coming second year I would love to nominate myself for captain. I have been playing volleyball for 8 years now and have been the captain for my high school varsity team. My time as a volleyball player has taught me the kind of verbal and non-verbal communication that is not only a necessity for any sport but how it is especially vital to the mental side of volleyball, as it is not only a game of strength but momentum too. I believe my experience and leadership would make me an ideal choice for this position. Moreover, being on the same team as our current captain (Ismail) it has allowed me to gain an understanding of the necessary admin work that is required for the team. Additionally, with an already established connection with the coach and an understanding of the team dynamic next year based on returning members, I believe I can create an environment that can accelerate the development of the chemistry between players which was an hurdle that the current team faced at the start of the season.
