Tennis Club: BUCS Women's 1 Captain

Being part of both BUCS Women's 1 and 2 teams this year has meant a lot to me. Even though I loved playing matches for the sake of tennis, what mattered most to me were the weekly trainings and team spirit that developed among the girls. Having said this, I think there's a lot more that could be done when it comes to cultivating a strong bond between team members. Being a team should be like being a family.

As captain, my goals would be:

1. Develop a strong team spirit through team dinners, making sure we have amazing social turn-out rates, and cosy team movie nights?

2. Make sure that trainings are the highlight of the week ?? Expect loud music and themed trainings?

3. Make sure that everyone on the team respects one another and acts accordingly. We all have our different strengths and weaknesses and being part of a team means that we acknowledge this and treat each other as equals.
