Georgina Mae Withers-Boalch

My commitment to UCLSC over the past academic year in consistently attending the majority of training sessions, appearing at every social (albeit fashionably late!), and representing UCL in competitions, leads me to believe that I will be suitable for the role of competitive captain. Having a large presence within the club, I would like to think I’ve become a familiar face who’s easy to get along with – thus providing myself with the ability to cooperate with a co-captain to lead and write sets. Moreover, competitive swimming is not an alien concept having been involved in the sport for a decade and representing Wales, and subsequently I believe I possess the relevant knowledge to co-write and lead efficient sessions. I have gained an appreciation for what is expected of the role, having witnessed the great job accomplished by the current captains, and as such, I am relatively acquainted with the process of organising the teams for competitions as well as for training turnout in using platforms such as Doodle. In seeing the potential that UCLSC has to offer, I’m eager to aid the progress of our team and can guarantee ample motivation at sessions - unless it’s Wednesday at Stratford.
