Yasmin Birch

Having joined surf club this year with little surfing experience, I've really enjoyed getting to know diffrent people and taking part in the club's activities and trips. I would like to become a social secretary because I want to support the society and help maintain the welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere the club has created for itself. (I promise I'm much better at social than my surfing skills!) Also, I understand that as a social secretary I would take on several roles and responsibilities such as (1) planning and organising social events including Wednesday sports nights, (2) adverstising events on social media, and (3) working collabaratively with other commitee memebers. Most of all, however, I want everyone to have fun and so anyone nice enough to buy me a drink can have my queue skip to Scala.

Sebastien Montemurro

Surf Club is truly something special: it's openness draws you in and, once you're there, the quality of the people and the fun you have makes you never want to leave. As Social Secretary, I would want not only keep that alive but amplify this quality, letting us socialise and have a blast by introducing both more opportunities for people to get together, and also a more varied selection that would involve smaller trips.

I also make a bangin' grilled fish.
