Having been the Marketing officer for 3 years I have a good understanding of both graphic design softwares as well as knowledge of Palestine, meaning I can carefully create posters relevant to the content and agenda of the event.

As a society that calls for justice, peace and an end to apartheid for the Palestinian people, SJP utilises and relies on social media platforms to raise the voices of Palestinians to more students and the rest of the world. With that also comes the necessity to have the right skillset and knowledge to make the best use of these platforms and to create and design the right content to share, which is where my expertise come into play.

Currently serving the role of media lead for Islamic Society, I have used my experience and knowledge to design posters for events and reminders to share on social media to invite muslim students across the university to get more involved in the society. Along with my designing skills, I have also developed my leadership and communication skills leading a team of graphic designers and liasing with other departments with what posters to design.

My interest for media also stems beyond into photography which has remained as my hobby for many years - enjoying taking photos and editing them on-the-go. Having had the opportunity to attend the Palestinian protest in May 2021, I used it as a chance to take and edit photos - improving my editing skills while supporting the Palestinian cause on social media.

I aim to further my knowledge and experience with graphic design to create and share content on behalf of SJP as we make a difference in UCL and share the truth about the oppression in Palestine to more people in UCL and around the world.
