Shadi Madieh

Growing up in Al-Khalil (Hebron) and living under occupation and apartheid most of my life means I know all about being Palestinian and about our just cause. As such, I understand the importance of unity when it comes to achieving justice. As collaboration officer of SJP I will make sure our society stays in constant communication with other Palestinian societies across London, the UK, and the rest of the world. I will make sure we are always aware of and take part in events and action for Palestine. Vote for me as Collaboration Officer and I will help keep our society alive and active!

As always, until it's free, Free Palestine! Thank you

Junayd U Islam

The occupation of Palestine is one of the worst violations of human rights of our time. With Amnesty International recently condemning racial segregation in Israel as apartheid, and figures like Desmond Tutu having previously described them as worse than Apartheid South Africa, there is no excuse for us to stand by and watch these crimes unfold, especially considering how much of a role the UK Government plays.

I have therefore spent the last decade campaigning for Palestinian liberation (as well as other causes). My involvement in activism has given me experience in decision making and communication; I have often been the one who provides clarity in plans and reaches out to other organisations for collabs, speakers, PA systems etc. I have gained a host of coordinating skills from my activism and have received numerous praise over the years for my calm chairing of meetings, my clear and concise updates to supporters and my passionate speeches on the streets. I look forward to using these skills to help the Palestinian cause on campus.
