Sign Language Society: Welfare Officer

As a current freshers representative in the sign language society, I would like to continue my place in the committee by contributing to the welfare officer role. This society taught me basic sign language that I would like to continue, and would love to encourage others in doing so regardless of their level. As a welfare officer I could make sure that these classes are accessible to everyone, and make sure there aren't any worries standing between someone and giving it a go. I would love to have a say in society decisions, such as which events we pursue, but specifically to make sure these events are friendly towards everyone who might want to join. As a welfare officer I would discuss issues with club members and bring them forth to committee meetings, encourage everyone to give it a go and answer any questions/worries. I am excited to keep learning this unique and special language, and hope to get the opportunity to encourage others the same way!
