Gabriel

I am running for Welfare Secretary in order to contribute to the friendly and welcoming attitude which already exists within the club; this atmosphere is of paramount importance to me. By cultivating an atmosphere of acceptance I would hope to attract new members and increase the general support for the club. As Welfare Secretary I would also enjoy fostering relations with the UCL Student's Union and the various different sports societies within UCL. I would also enjoy engaging in conjunction with the Charities Secretary to further positive outreach programmes which the club can engage with.

If you don't know me, my name is Will, otherwise known as milfwank, and I'm running for Welfare Secretary :)

Having only joined this year, I've loved everything about the club, and I'm honestly very excited to stay a part of it next year as well.

I'm nominating myself for welfare secretary, as I think we could do more for the welfare side of the club, whether its helping new people join or checking on current players.

As much as we love our drink, I'd like to try to make the club inclusive of certain opinions and religions, organising non-drinking opportunities that wouldn't scare people away/discourage good players from joining the club.

I'd be passionate about encouraging more discussion of mental health and awareness within the club, especially as it's something that many of us ignore very easily. Having spoken to a couple of you guys, I'd place greater emphasis on speaking privately and sorting out these problems whatever way I can. Talking to me is easy enough, and I honestly really care if any of you are going through problems throughout the year.

I'd love to build on what Jacques has done this year and get a lot more stuff going with fresh in the club. Especially seeing the amount that came to the first training and then never came back, I feel like we can open ourselves up even more as a club on the welfare side and get some talented fresh into the team.

Anyways that's all, appreciate the vote lads
