Rare FM: Studio Manager

Although our beloved studio, the heart of Rarefm in many ways, is a very well equipped space with plenty of kit and decor, I feel it is lacking in some areas. I have already come up with some ideas to give it the atmosphere of which the eminent Rarefm is so deserving; so that not only presenters and their guests can enjoy being there a bit more, but also to make it a more appealing place to bring VIPs who hosts might want to interview for their shows. Even with a modest budget I believe I could seriously improve the studio in several ways. Firstly I would add some proper lighting, maybe with a bit of colour, so we are not forced to choose between harsh classroom lighting and dim fairy lights. Secondly, I think it would be nice to add some more seating (maybe a sofa, comfier chairs etc) so a few more people can chill in a more comfortable studio. Next, I think some new posters, artwork, and general decoration is needed for the walls, in the space not taken up by soundproofing which i also hope to complete; I would also consider a couple plants potentially to give the place a bit of life. These are a few of my ideas that I think would help make our studio even better, but I appreciate we have a lot of presenters with lots of different tastes and ideas so I would make sure everyone who wants to gets a say is able to do so, it would be cool to have all the various stuff that goes on in there represented in a very eclectic decor!
