Rare FM: Head of Music

My name is Alexia Mihaila and I am an undergraduate Arts & Sciences student re-running as Head of Music! 

I am deeply passionate about music, playing the piano and the drums for over eight years and listening to diverse music genres. As the current Head of Music, I previously managed to secure interviews with up-and-coming artists and big names such as Tom Odell. Moreover, I have formerly worked with independent artists from international record labels (e.g. Daschund Records) in establishing ties between them and radio stations, which I will continue doing for Rare as well.

I plan to: 

* Continue offering a wide range of genres and artists in the A & B playlists 

* Seek and promote UCL artists through playlists, interviews and acoustic performances

* Establishing new connections and strengthening the bonds with the pluggers, labels, and artist we already have 

* Organising Rare Insights and developing songwriter/producer Rare projects, as well as collaborating with Live Music, EMS and more.

* Secure interviews, guest list, and photo passes for gigs for society members and the UnCL team 

* Expanding the Rare FM video interview catalogue with UnCL

* Confer a transparent connection between me and other Rare FM members or UCL artists

I am looking forward to continuing working with Rare FM and pouring my heart into making Rare a staple radio station in London because I absolutely adore it! :)
