Aim to unite students at UCL through the culture of Punjab and include many fun socials such as  Punjabi food tasting, games night and even some physical activities like kabaddi and other sports.

I would aim to make the fun where one can also be relaxed and chilled and feel at comfort due to the stress university can bring and for it to be an eye opener for all types of people.

To welcome people into the society and bring more people along I would organise multiple events within the first couple of months where people can get to know each other and do simple excursions such as going out to eat or playing bowling. Finally I would like the society to be one people talk about and talk good upon where many people come to join and can make life long lasting friends and i will put in the effort to make that happen with great events but also showing the punjabi cultures in what we do.

Kevin Gulati

Having been involved with multiple larger societies in my first year such as Hindu society and Indian Society, I feel a responsibility as a punjabi to try my best to grow the punjabi society at UCL so that it might be as well established in a few years time. The punjabi culture and way of life is such a beautiful thing, and I feel that many people would enjoy experiencing it, regardless of their race, religion or ethnic background. I think that the key to growing the society and hosting successful events hinges primarily on the people attending them. For that reason, I believe that innovative sales strategies will be paramount to raising awareness about the events we are hosting and getting as many people involved as possible. I have some previous experience being in a position of leadership in my Sixth Form house which makes me a good fit for the role. Making the members of the society feel like they're part of a big desi family is something I will strive to achieve in this position.
