Punjabi Society: Social Secretary

Reaching out to as many students as possible and helping grow what's currently a fairly new and raw society would be an extremely fulfilling responsibility for me. The Punjabi community is a minority at UCL and although the larger societies such as Indian Society are open to Punjabi students, their events do not cater to our culture as well as I'd hope.  For that reason, I would love to be Social Secretary for the Punjabi society next year. I feel that I'd enjoy and be good at planning activities, whether it be games nights, clubbing nights or more religious events.  I'm a person that enjoys going out a lot, so much so that I took a gap year mainly because I did not want to do my first year of uni during COVID and lockdowns. I'm a peoples person with good conversation skills which makes me well suited for this role. I hope that together with the other members of the committee we will be able to develop this society for future years of students to enjoy even bigger and better events.
