Ellie Colclough
I am Ellie, a 2nd year Maths Student and I know what it is like to be stressed, depressed and just generally distressed. University is difficult, lets be real, but joining Pole Fitness really has helped me cope with my degree! I would love to be your Welfare Officer so I can help any members who may be struggling mentally, emotionally (or spiritually?).
If elected, I would use the platform to spread awareness of mental health issues that are prominent among students. Working with the rest of the committee, I would also help plan fun social events, ensuring no one feels lonelyI have experience dealing with UCL Student Support and Well-Being, UCL Disability and Mental Health and Ridgmount Practice (UCL's GP), and would be happy to help when it comes to navigating those services (even if it is just finding the correct webpage)!
This may have been written really badly (I am a STEM student pls forgive me), but I want to help my fellow polers in any way I can, and create a loving environment for our members <3
