Zaid Khan

Hi everyone,

So this time last year, I was applying for this exact position and even thought I wasn't elected (redemption time), that did not stop me from being a member of the society. I've been a part of the society for the last two years and I've mad some really good friends during that time (albeit a lot of that time having been spent virtually and not in person). If I am elected, I will strive to continue making Paksoc a friendly and welcoming community for all. Being away from home is an extremely difficult part of studying at university, and those who attend our events should feel like they are in a "home away from home". I have strong relationships with other members of the current committee and am confident that I will work well with them. Last year, I was media officer for the society and I received great praise from the committee and members of the society for the media that I produced. If elected, I plan on hosting more events where we collaborate with other cultural societies, as well as hosting new events such as an escape room event. Paksoc has really been one of the highlights during my time at UCL, and I hope that I can deliver the same to other members if elected.
