A review from Izzy’s friends…

5 STARS ★★★★★ "Izzy booked an excellent (delayed) post A-level girls trip to Zante. We did it all; swam with turtles, danced until the AMs and cruised down the lazy river. What more could you want? Her organisation skills were immaculate. Phone in the sea? Izzy sorted it. Severe tonsillitis? Izzy’s on it. Raining? Izzy stopped it. At the airport, she was in maximum dad mode. There was no chance we were missing that flight."

On a serious note, from being captain of my local team, I’m reliable and efficient when the time comes. I’m a well-integrated and approachable member of the club, and I hope to be a friendly face on the committee to freshers and returning members. Working alongside the president and being a committee member, I’ll be able to effectively support the club’s progress with inclusivity, and also continue to prioritise women’s safety. I’m keen to continue to share what we’ve learnt with the other clubs at UCL. I’ve also got some big ideas for the kit, as well as keeping our much-loved existing stash. Some would argue purple crocs are a necessity, being potentially the greatest pre-game intimidation technique. I’m a big advocate for quarter zip fleeces and navy-blue puffers to match UCNC colours. All in all, I’m really excited to get even more involved with UCNC in my final year at UCL and I hope to catch you all in your UCNC socks and crocs this time next year!

Nell M Rudd-Jones

As a long standing member of UCNC, I believe I have come to understand not only what makes the club fantastic but how to make the club better. We are a fantastic community of hardworkign and positive firls who, whilst united by a love of netball, do so much more for each other and the greater community than simply playing matches. As Vice president I would aim to continue and amplify the legacy of this team and bring it into the next year with enthusiasm. I will achieve these goals in three primary ways. Firstly thorugh my support of the president. By picking up tasks and errands I will give the president more time to focus on new initiatives and campaigns. Secondly as someone who is confortable voicing opinions, I will provide a good sounding board from which the president can develop ideas, whilst providing new perspectives. Thirdly and lastly as a committee member who does not have dictated week to week tasks and duties, I will provide support for committee members who are swamped iwth work and are in need of help. Most importantly I will, through my own commitment, dedicaiton and general positive vibes, provide an example that will set the tone for the club. I further pan to revolutionaise the stash. I will introduce fleeces, scrunchies, training shorts, skorts etc with a UCNC twist. I have also brainstormed three exciting options for the end of year tour; Barcelona, Corfu and a Villa in a Norther Italian Lake.
