Dear future socialites,

During this year we have spent a serious amount of time, probably too much, working on our Wednesday outfits and it is the highlight of our week. Now we want to spread our enthusiasm for dress up themes to the whole club.

This year we want to bring every member together so that all teams and year groups can mix. We plan on making our beloved pre-scala Phineas nights even better by hosting games and getting conversations started among the whole society to make it the best year of socials yet!

We also have many other ideas - hosting pre-parties, pub crawls, group treasure hunts, dinners and everything in between. We will also make sure we interact with other social secs so we can socialise outside of our society - bigger and better!

We know mystery tour is a great way to solidify friendships made in the club and therefore we will be working on this extra early and extra hard to make it the biggest weekend of the year.

I already have experience as Rare FM social sec and know how to work with Phineas managers to upgrade our socials e.g DJs and playlists

We are very excited to make our society into a community by creating socials for you to chat, party and dance!

And don’t forget, our netball skills may be under development, but our social planning skills make up for it as we can purely focus on you, making the club and your Wednesday nights super fun ?

xoxo your future social secs,

Issy and Kitty

I made most of my initial friends through when I joined UCL’s Netball Club club, through the first socials and practices, at the beginning of this year. Sports nights have provided me with some of the funniest and most memorable, and at times regrettable, nights of the year, being an important time to bond closer with team mates and meet new friends from within and beyond the club. Joint socials with other clubs allow for friendships past those you would normally create, and therefore I would continue to organise these, however with clubs further than the rugby team! I would hope to bring my high spirits, devotion to going out (and Prosecco), and love for eccentric themed nights to the socials, with dress themes and games unparalleled by any other club, making sure to also give enough time for preparation of outfits. Mystery tour will be an experience unlike anything you have had before, making sure to utilise the opportunities of tour to explore new places and original activities and allow you to do something you otherwise may not have. Getting people involved in the club optimises experience for all, and through inclusive and inventive games I will ensure this happens, regardless if you want to drink or not. The most important part of socials is to have fun, and as I am sure you all will have seen at previous socials and Scala, no body has fun like me!
